Pinewood Derby
(I forgot to add these photos from January:) Carter and Michael did a great job on the car. It was so cute to see them work together, deciding what to do and listening to Michael tell stories of all of his pinewood derbies. Again. . . Anyway, Carter designed the shape on paper, sanded and painted. It was even cuter to hear Michael in the garage until 1 in the morning cutting out the wood and making sure it was put together correctly. It was hard to keep Carter from playing with the car on the day of the derby--we didn't want him to break it! It was a good evening--Carter and the rest of the boys had fun and were good sports. He was thrilled with 3rd place!

Hey Meg! What a great car! 3rd place is pretty darn good! But I think the best is the time they spent making it! Come see us!
I'm pretty sure it's Megan from the 14th ward, but can't see your picture well enough to tell. Of course I know who you are, I mean we're practically cousins with me being married to your Aunt Cheryl's and Uncle Carl's nephew!
